Jewel your Jewelleries: Catch the Trend
There are always plenty of articles about fashion, but very few discuss jewellery trends. Here, we will look at some of the hottest styles for jewellery this spring/summer.
First things first, if it’s not chunky, it’s no good. Whether you are thinking about purchasing a pair of earrings, a necklace, or a bracelet, make sure that it is chunky and you will fulfil at least one fashion imperative this season. Big and bold is the order of the day, the heavier and the weightier the better.
Faux jewels are also big news this season. Pearls are particularly prominent, and proving very popular amongst celebrities. Choose necklaces with a single pearl, or opt for a layered look, to create the perfect on-trend look this spring/summer. Vintage or retro combinations are also big news. Animal print is a big trend this season, and for those of you who are a little reluctant to embrace the style full on, a carefully chosen piece of jewellery will allow you to introduce this look subtly. If you are not a great fan of animal print, then make sure that you select a colour or pattern that suits the season. In summer and spring, choose plenty of bright colours, with various summer motifs: butterflies, ladybirds, flowers, etc. In winter, choose darker colours, such as navy blues, greys, and auburns.
